Wide Open Spaces. I like it. I can breathe. I lived in BC once. Not for long; but when I traveled back to Saskatchewan and hit the Lethbridge horizon I could breathe again.
I traveled to Arizona in 2003 for the first time and loved the space. Yes, there were mountains that surprised me but also there was space. I loved the feel of the wide open spaces. Another surprising feeling happened on that trip. I felt like I had come home.
Most of my life I was a shiverer; could never warm up. My body always felt cold from the inside out. After my 2003 trip to the desert, it did not happen again. I had warmed up.
Arizona was my kind of space. I am now making it my own,
My own space to be,
To write
To sing
To love.
