Here I am Listening; As I wrote no longer need
I am here in the silence; okay to listen; no need to speak
I am content to be; free to be me; slept so soundly
Forest enclosed; breathing deeply; as I arose
A walk in the forest; exercise under the trees
Living in wonder; living in ease
I can wait in wonder; be there as I can
And if I’m not needed; okay to be as I am
Time to rest in comfort enjoying all I can
Listening to my children, grands and all the fam
The friends and one another in this world I share
The animals, birds, the plants, the trees
The heart of it all soon in deep freeze
Caring for our future as I cared for the past
Living the moment has come to pass
Gently ever forward living the in between
The past and the future; right here is the scene
Come back to my body; the peace in between
All my cells are lightening as I gently release
All that ever mattered doesn’t any more
As I am letting go of all that was in store
Peace gentle peace.
