Okay to be HOWEVER I am
As I share the best; the best that I can
Trusting that when caring for self
I will be caring for everyone else.
Surrender give way to the challenges inside
To all of the voices that didn’t die
They’re coming out of me in this way and that
Giving me freedom that till now I lacked
I am singing; and it’s not a lark
Here, there, everywhere and in a park
Remembering things from days gone by
Not really clear of the where and the why
Energy is moving up and out of me
Finding new ways to set myself free
Emotional angst as I process the deep
Till now – stuck; as if fast asleep
Now it’s been screaming – foot, muscles, hips
Right this minute; seething anger – jaw; lips
Get thru this minute, this hour, this day
Enjoy and listen; what inside me will say
Okay to be HOWEVER I am
