He Saved Me

He saved me
From unending pain
He was the oldest – probably felt the same

Overworked and undercared
And everything we had to share
Take care of kids and do all the rest
Well it wasn’t me Who touched my breast

I wish he would have Left me alone
So in my body I’d feel at home
Instead of cut off And never knowing
Just what I feel

Darkness descends; Pain moves around
In my body; I don’t make a sound
Her arms wrapped so tight
Knows she’s too little  To put up a fight

We’re all connected
Soon we will be
Singing and feeling
(We will be free)

I want us to know
That there’ll be time
But if you can’t wait
It’ll still be just fine.
