I look in the mirror and what do I see
A woman who’s cared for and it’s all about me

Listening inside; being my own best wife
I like how I look happy and brown
Can go anywhere, strut around town
Enjoy every moment and all that I do
Enjoy who I’m with, can be all about you
I see my long hair; some day will be gone
It’s been many a year since I had it this long
When I look in the mirror, I see only myself
I used to see pain above all else
Sometimes I have this far away look
A deep inner darkness that’s been overlooked
They’re fewer now and mostly I see
My smiling saying I’m happy I’m free.
